This issue presents the novella Armaggeddon 2419 A.D. by Francis Ford Nowlan. The main character, Anthony Rogers was renamed Buck Rogers for the daily comic strip adaptation. The comic, also written by Nowlan, was a huge success and ran for more than 40 years, spawning many imitators such as Flash Gordon (1934).
