1. Screenshots from Machinarium, a 2009 puzzle point-and-click adventure game made by Amanita Design, a small Czech company. You guide a cute little robot in a beautiful hand-drawn world with all kinds of robots and machinery. This is before all a puzzle game with various puzzles and brain teasers. Some are difficult.  You really have to think, observe and experiment. No dialogues, but some “speech balloons” with drawings.

I bought this game and finished it. I liked it a lot.The puzzles are interesting (but you need some thinking, I played only a little part of the game at a time). The protagonist is charming and amusing, and this is really a fun world to explore, with beautiful graphics and good music.

Recommended, if you like this kind of game. There is an online demo on the main site (playable right in the browser). Available for various platforms (PC, Mac, ipad, android and more). This is sold, among other places, on Steam and Gog (with additional freebies on Gog).

I LOVE Machinarium. It’s sweet and the art is lovely. And the little robot is absolutely precious and I want to snuggle...
